We have had heaps of inquiries about what is actually in Swimmer’s Skin and why is it so different from other moisturises?
Swimmer’s Skin is a barrier cream and helps to lock in the mositure in the skin. When you swim the natural oils get washed of your skin leaving your skin dry and itchy (please have a look at the FAQ page for more info.) Here is the list of amazing ingredients:
Calendula – antibacterial, soothing properties.
Aloe Vera – powerful moisturiser which penetrates the skin supplying moisture directly to the tissues. Renowned for soothing, calming and reduces skin redness.
Vitamin E – antioxidant protects and reduces tissue damage.
Carrot Extract – useful for the treatment of dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, aids dry skin and revitalises the basal layer.
Chamomile – beneficial for dry skin especially when there is redness or sensitivity, reduces skin eruptions.
Rose Hip – anti inflammatory.
Jojoba – penetrates quickly into the skin helping to reduce water loss.
Grape seed Oil – glides on skin, moisturising properties, skin repair, mildly astringent and antiseptic qualities.
Caprylic/Capric – excellent oxidation stability emollient with quick skin penetration. Has no colour or odour.
Behenyl Alcohol – prevents moisture loss.
Lecithin – protects skin by replenishing the skins acid mantle.
