Our Reason For Being

At Summersalt Body Care we want to be the number one provider of body care products for swimmers.  We believe swimmers have been forgotten about and it was about time someone listened to our crying out skin and hair.

We want to spread the word about swimming. We love to swim and love all the benefits that go along with swimming (too many to mention at the moment.)  Our motto is, “swim for life™.”

Company Story

The Summersalt story was born from a need to source a product that would prevent itchiness and extreme dryness when swimming and to also get rid of that chlorine smell!  There were no such products in the Australian market.  The design brief was simple:  natural products, sunscreens, moisturising, not tested on animals and suitable for all skin types.

At Summersalt Body Care, we want to create the most exciting, innovative, naturally inspired products on the market, which are practical and easy to use.  We like to keep things simple and fresh.

Summersalt Body Care is based in Perth, Australia.  We are an Australian owned, inspired and operated business.

The Product

I have called our first product Swimmer’s Skin, which is a pre-swimming lotion (for the technicalities of what happens to your skin when submerged in water please refer to our FAQ page.)  I wanted to create a product that had heaps of benefits that you could enjoy:

• New, unique naturally inspired product with herbal extracts
• Two products in one, pre-swimming lotion and a sunscreen, saving you time
• Protects your skin from moisture loss, preventing dry, itchy skin
• Forms a barrier on your skin to reduced the smell of chlorine

Swimmer’s Skin is made up of natural, moisturising herbal extracts.
